I have found that you cannot depend on just one set of tech indicators. I use Moving Averages supported by Stochastics and momentum. And I use 30-minutes to enter and I should use 5-minutes to exit but find that I exit whenever I have a profit and dont feel comfortable with the way the market is moving or if it takes too long to move.

1-minute charts are too fast and S&P can change before you can act. Fr\urther if I was acting on Just Stochastics, I would trade only at the crossover points of 20 and 80 and not in between.
