I was an automotive insurance appraiser had dealings with lawyers I hatted it. When ever one would threaten me with action against the ins co I would call Marie and tell here the story and almost all the time she would tell me he has no grounds and to ignore his threats. She helped me out a lot.

I remember her from my long time ago sessions on the "GITS" board. I never knew her name but remember having pleasant exchanges with her occasionally. Had many friends on that site and never knew most of their names.

She was a true friend an absolutely stellar human being....brilliant and beautiful i remember exactly where i was when i read about her passing....was traveling, and when my companion saw the look on my face, asked 'what on earth are you looking at' or words to that effect, i was speechless just so grateful to have had the opportunity to meet her in person, along with her husband her writing and well thought out commentary here (along with the fun, light-hearted banter) was always so welcome, just a huge loss to the community and to everyone here who had the good fortune to know her... miss her so much
