off-topic reply: cage free white eggs in 24-pack or cage free brown in 18-pack have
barely budged in price at Costco since early November 2021

nearly none of the perishable or non-perishable items we purchase at Costco
every other week have increased by a noticeable amount at Costco

only 3 of 26 of the staple products on automatic monthly delivery from Amazon
have increased by noticeable amount since November

It's accounting witchcraft<G> That makes the number about half what it would be if calculated like it was in 1980

went to grab some eggs yesterday...Deimos gets 3 raw eggs on his breakfast every morning, lol...$4 dozen and then I noticed when I got home they were tiny! They were medium instead of the usual extra large. He got 5 instead, lol I feel like I was paying about 1.99/ doz for extra large just very recently. It's crazy

Fresh eggs from locals have gone up from $2.50 to $3 a dozen now. Can get 18 carton for $4. Every once in a while, they'll have too many and drop the price back down to $2.50 a dozen where it had been for a long time. $2-2.50 was the norm the last few years unless they had too many then we had real bargains for $1.50.
There's milk and other dairy around but I haven't ever bought it. I'm leary about unpasteurized/inspected dairy.
