It’s their ideology and the way of doing business and of relating to people and issues. They ARE awful. But, not too many things get better in the old age. They’re worse. For one thing, those overly powerful people are ancient, uninspiring, tired, lazy - and look ridiculous in their roles.

True - I could never say the same about RR or Judge Scalia. Maybe it’s true that as we get old we get what we deserve.
