A great great grandfather of mine went to Crimea to acquire property, but he was armed with weaponry, not money. Russians rejected his intentions and he died ftom wounds received. The 19th century was not all VVVs.

I find money and voluntary trade a better way of dealing with people.

UK and USA are still trying to acquire Crimea by brute force conquest. Bad idea. Atomic bombs on mirved ICBMs are much more effective than bayonets and bullets.
