My first post on this thread. Thanks to all who participated in the
great stock vers. warrants debate, pro and con. I just bought
3000 warrants, on margin, at $7. Took two days and 5 trades to
fill the order without nudging the price up a quarter.
Key to me was the fact that I would be even or better provided
LGND made it to 16 1/2 by June 2000. After that, the profit
goes up proportionally with the price of the stock. I had a lot of
liqidity problems buying these shrs, so I'm going into this as a buy
and hold proposition
The only down side I see is the risk of a margin call, which,
based on their science and the strength of the company, is only
a realistic concern if there is a major market correction across the
board.
