And I feel bad about that, but what you are supporting is evil! >> Hi Koan, No, I tried to add some context to my views and statements, buy sadly just seem to have confused things further. My literal skills come as a poor second to my technical and scientific skills. My ability to communicate with people sometimes puts their heads into a spin as my views can be so different from theirs. I talked to my relative in Kyiv a few hours ago. The important stuff was discssed in detail. He is well and in good spirits. Nothing else matters as much as that. He left the city today and went the the outskirts of the city and discovered his Datcha is still OK, and his nephew inside of it still alive and in good shape. Bucha is not far off, and I never realised it was that close to the city. The shops, garages, business in most areas either side were really badly smashed up by the Russians. He was shocked, and emphasised that the only solution to the Ukraine situation was a military one (in his opinion) He also gave a link to a CNN report he wanted me to watch, which I did.VIDEO I never mentioned it, but I would compare that analysis with some Russian asset assessments. Scott Ritter is a good one, imho, although it has to be realised, a Russian view. They are smart guys and can put a spin on a story, just like anyone else. Some things just do not add up though... still figuring it out... but the Russian troops involved do not look right for a normal invasion set up. That is my thoughts on the subject to date. My relative and I talked about the "Bald and Bankrupt" videos shown earlier, he loves those too, and we also discussed Noam Chomsky. He is a great admirer, and my relative does have excellent literal skills. 2Linguistic theory 2.1Universal grammar 2.2Transformational-generative grammar Noam Chomsky - Wikipedia and that way I was able to bring in some of my own thoughts discussed here on Ukraine and the invasion. If you have not watched the video by Noam, in my posted links on the history of Ukraine, I suggest you watch it... the Russian concerns are laid bare. We did have a useful discussion on that. A couple of other things. Like "Bald and Bankrupt", my relative has criss crossed Ukraine several hundred times, before 2014 he was extensively in the Crimea region. A lot of the guys he worked with have been jailed since. Seeming more that 20+ million Ukrainians and other holiday makers would vacation in the Crimea every year, until the invasion there. That would not be so hot for the economy since that business has now cratered. Also, since Stalin had the area resettled, it was, and is old style Russian in many ways. Lots of opportunities for improvement. That looks to me be a mutually good bargaining chip in any peace negotiation I would say. . btw have a look at Noam Chomsky's parents origin. Interesting. William Chomsky g.co William Chomsky - Wikipedia There is another piece of useless information for you to complain about -g- Of course I am still holding out for a negotiated settlement rather than a military one. Terrible as the war is, how bad it could get, even conventionally, with modern weapons, does not bear thinking about. Could make WW1 and WW2 look as if they were using pea shooters, and we all know how bad those wars were. For those who have not been to Kyiv, it has a war museum. Just in one battle in WW2 they lost more people then the whole UK did in the whole war. The blood sacrifices made in that region over the years are horrific. I visited that museum back in 2001. , ???????????? ????? ??????? ??????? ? ?????? ???????? ????? (warmuseum.kiev.ua)
