Highlights of the News

ITEM 1: Time reported, "French President Emmanuel Macron Wins Re-Election, Surviving a Far-Right Challenge From Marine Le Pen."

So the French voted to continue to ignore Muslim violence while fining Brigitte Bardot for complaining about it.

ITEM 2: Newsmax reported that President Donald John Trump stumped for J.D. Vance on Saturday in suburban Columbus, Ohio.

Trump said, "I'm very pleased to introduce the man with by far the best chance to defeat the radical Democrat nominee for the U.S. Senate this November.

"You know what? He's the guy that said some bad shit about me. But you know what? Every one of the others did also. In fact, if I went by that standard, I don't think I would have ever endorsed anybody in the country."

From the Surber Palace near downtown Poca, the local TV stations run Ohio Senate ads. The candidates quoting Vance knocking Trump seem stupid. I mean, Trump backs Vance. Why bring Trump up?

ITEM 3: All gave some.

Specialist Bishop E. Evans, 22, from Arlington, Texas, gave all.

ITEM 4: The Washington Examiner reported, "The World Health Organization appears to be falling short of its goal to vaccinate 70% of people across the globe, as rates in most low-income countries are stalling.

"The WHO said in June 2021 that a crucial component of ending the pandemic was to reach 40% vaccination rates by the end of 2021 and 70% by June 2022, which is coming up in a little over a month.

"'The reality is that there is a loss of momentum,' said Dr. Isaac Adewole, a former health minister of Nigeria who is now a consultant for the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, according to the New York Times."

WHO oversold covid. The restrictions killed the world economy.

Who will believe WHO next time? That is the real damage done by this virus. Maybe that was the whole point of Red China unleashing covid.

ITEM 5: CNBC reported, "Twitter could be becoming more receptive to a takeover bid from Elon Musk after the billionaire disclosed he has secured $46.5 billion in financing, The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday.

"The social media company had been expected to shoot down the offer and had adopted a so-called poison pill to fend off a potential hostile takeover.

"But executives are now re-examining the bid and are more likely than before to try and negotiate, the paper said, citing people familiar with the matter. The situation is fast-moving, but the two sides are meeting on Sunday to discuss Musk's $43 billion proposal, the Journal reported."

Musk is no conservative.

He is just not a fascist. That's rare among celebrities these days.

ITEM 6: 15 minutes from Poca.

I don't know what to do.

ITEM 7: Breitbart reported, "Actor Rob Reiner said on this week’s broadcast of MSNBC’s The Sunday Show that if a person votes for any Republicans, they vote for autocracy."

Autocracy.

Well a government run by autos would be an improvement.

ITEM 8: AP reported, Red "China is promoting coal-fired power as the ruling Communist Party tries to revive a sluggish economy, prompting warnings Beijing is setting back efforts to cut climate-changing carbon emissions from the biggest global source.

"Official plans call for boosting coal production capacity by 300 million tons this year, according to news reports. That is equal to 7% of last year's output of 4.1 billion tons, which was an increase of 5.7% over 2020.

"China is one of the biggest investors in wind and solar, but jittery leaders called for more coal-fired power after economic growth plunged last year and shortages caused blackouts and factory shutdowns. Russia's attack on Ukraine added to anxiety that foreign oil and coal supplies might be disrupted."

Communists know climate change is BS.

Why don't we?

ITEM 9: The Guardian reported, "Democrats need to 'get up off our rear ends' and work to bring down prices and runaway inflation, or face wipeout in November’s midterm elections, the Massachusetts senator Elizabeth Warren warns."

The Producer Price Index was 11.2% in March, while the Consumer Price Index was 8.5%.

Given that the CPI lags six months behind the PPI, look for 11% inflation in September. Only a recession can bring inflation down.

ITEM 10: The Desert News reported, "How bad do Utah Democrats want Mike Lee out? Bad enough to ditch their own nominee and back Evan McMullin instead. Utah Democratic Party votes to join independent Evan McMullin coalition rather than nominate Kael Weston."

Democrats ran no presidential candidate in 1872. Instead, they backed Liberal Republican Party candidate Horace Greeley against President Grant.

It did not go well.

ITEM 11: 538 reported, "Americans Are Moving On From Jan. 6 — Even If Congress Hasn't."

Most people moved on from January 6 on January 7.

ITEM 12: The Tampa Bay Times reported, "Twitter bans ads that contradict science on climate change.

"There was no indication that the change would affect what users post on the social media site, which has been targeted by groups seeking to promote misleading claims about climate change."

So garbage people will continue to tweet their garbage claims about carbon dioxide killing the planet, when it, water and sunlight are needed for life on Earth.

ITEM 13: Look what I found on Twitter.

What do you expect from geniuses who believe a plastic straw buried in West Virginia will pop up in the ocean?

Here is confirmation that is a paper straw.

ITEM 14: The Des Moines Register reported, "'Easter Bunny' listed as prosecutor in hundreds of Iowa court cases."

Well, he did a good job Biden-sitting the president the other day. Why not have him prosecute cases?

ITEM 15: Insider reported, "California residents find a family of 5 bears hibernating under their house after hearing 'snoring-like noises' all winter."

Me: They should charge them rent.

Wife: How would they pay? They're bears.

Me: In honey.

ITEM 16: Last night, the New York Times reported, "U.S. Officials Make Top-Secret Visit to Ukraine."

Some secret. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin announced on Friday they were going.

Why do I feel like we're out of Calgon?

ITEM 17: The Blaze reported, "Special counsel John Durham has issued trial subpoenas for members of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee as he continued to push his theory of a joint venture in the case he built against Democratic cybersecurity lawyer Michael Sussmann, who represented Clinton’s campaign.

"Clinton’s campaign, the DNC, the now infamous opposition research firm Fusion GPS, and the Perkins Coie law firm are working to resist Durham’s efforts to compel the submission of documents that have been withheld up to this point. The Washington Examiner reported that these groups have argued that claims of attorney-client privilege should keep the records that Durham is seeking concealed.

"Durham is continuing to build legal pressure on these groups believing that they coordinated in pushing fraudulent claims that former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia."

We shall see.

ITEM 18: The New York Post reported, "First Lady Jill Biden was against choosing Kamala Harris as her husband Joe Biden’s running mate after she attacked him during a primary debate, according to an upcoming new book."

Caution. This is based on reporting by the New York "Calgon" Times.

But if true, Mrs. Biden is not as dumb as she looks.

Stick it to the Stock. (India to China) Unquestionably unreliable - can't even leave the building in Shanghai. Why should they be allowed to leave the country with excursions into India?

Companies go to India - not people.

As to the poor locked down rich people in Shanghai - maybe this might motivate them for a December 16, 1773.

Or not. Things are as they have always been there and will always be until something happens.

And with that, regarding the purchase of Twitter:
