My farmer, has a coop take soil samples every year a new crop is planted.

These last 2 and 1/2 years the land has been in Alfalfa, which puts nitrogen back in the ground.

I mow along my 900 foot gravel drive way (about 4 acres in total - including the house and front yard).

I love the look of the always green alfalfa and the grass I fertilize and mow weekly. Makes for a Kentucky horse farm look without the horses. <smile>

Wears out a zero turn every 12-15 years 1000 plus hours.
