John, I have to do more readings on this broadband stuff, but just another interesting news, Lucent just signed a contract with Broadband Tech (BBTK) last week to develop this technology. Looks like another very promising technology. In this tech arena, technology changes as fast as you can turn your head. It makes me dizzy. Mike.

It looks like fiber running to a 50-home node, and from there the light will be converted to electrical current to run into your home. So the savings will be to avoid having fiber running to each home, plus if using fiber, light splitting to 50 homes is not easy nor cheap.
