I agree with an article I read this morning. It basically said people were willing to pay for promises of future money as long as current money was free but now that cash has a cost, they want cash flow now, not later.
Promises of future drugs, technology etc aren't worth anything now with rising rates and QT. I was playing around with some numbers last night and even though a lot of the favorites are down 30-50%, they still aren't cheap. NVDA 60 times cash flow in a cyclical industry for example. It might be down a lot from it's peak but it's still up 300-400% from 2019-2020. Most "good" companies are the same. Whimpy's "I'll pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today " isn't cutting it anymore.
