Sen. Rand Paul says Putin only invades countries that ‘were part of Russia’

nydailynews.com

US/EU discourse not going anywhere since they have to hew to unprovoked invasion storyline, completely ignoring the collapse of the Minsk peace agreement when Ukraine started offensive against the Donbass. US assurance on security guaranty and NATO membership wouldn't have been sufficient. The US also violated the Minsk agreement as well with the heavy weapons sent to the contact line, the establishment of foreign military bases, and failure to disband paramilitaries.

It is already effectively a Russia-US/NATO war. US complaining about Ukrainians inability to use heavy weapons implies US is already sliding into place US and NATO soldiers who've been trained. US lobbying for a UN safe passage corridor out of Mariupol to rescue 500 NATO officers. This is just like Syria and Libya, and saw the same in siege of Mosul where US airlifted advisors and foreign commanders out before the Iraqi forces stormed the city.
