for we, all of us, tee-ed up

do have in the vault a single Russian Soviet era gold coin bought at Moscow bank 2001, way before current sanctions tee-ed up by some on the planet, and it has the requisite hammer & sickle motif. I remember it took (~2) hours to buy at the time as a visiting foreigner, filling out forms and paying in dollars, being led to several desks, and I was the only customer.

Seems gold was unobtainium in Russia, then, and soon again, and fast.
