Up until the invasion - for 7 years - the Minsk agreements were on the table. But, even with a few armies at the borders and a widely publicized ultimatum - Ukraine and NATO wouldn’t budge. To the contrary, the bombings of the Donbas region were increasing. As if someone wanted them to make their move. [Which is possible — Zelensky’s brain man, Alex Arestovych, was saying some years ago that he expects an invasion with 99.9% certainty - to be followed by Ukraine's victory. I’ve posted the video right here, on this board].

After watching the actions by the West ever since the demise of the USSR, the Russians became convinced that NATO is fixing to move in for the kill. (Don’t go after the messenger, GS, I’m just relaying my read of what is driving them - aren’t you curious?). So, I guess, they figured it’s the last opportunity to push back.

I’d guesstimate the odds that this crap may go global at 15-30%. Add 1-2% for every week - for as long as the war goes on.

There is a realistic possibility that all of those wonderful petrochemicals will be left to the cockroaches.

Of course, the areas they invaded just happened to be areas where petrochemicals, pipelines and shipping is the most valuable to steal. Just as they stole Crimea a few years before.

...well....you must have missed skinowski's revelation to this board that now he believes- "the Russians will not settle for their original demands. They will want Donbas and the territories along the South".......make sure you take that into account in ALL your future analyses and prognostications.....lest you make some fundamental errors of understanding.
