It's called habit strength...

A long time habit is more difficult to break...

These markets mostly rally and the declines are generally quick, so one's way of looking at these markets becomes habitually bullish and we develop a very strong habit which is very difficult to break for so many people...

Especially for those who don't trade the short side regularly, it's like another world and they don't realize that all those bullish indicators don't work in a declining market...

Everything is reversed... completely reversed...

Should be an interesting close. What I am interested in is if today's decline is larger than yesterday's
rise. Must be getting close on the DJIA at least. I think the rise yesterday in the DJIA was somewhere a
little north of 600.
