In normal times, who ever gives much thought to Ukraine? And yet, it’s located in the middle of Europe - and at the center of a great civilizational conflict. Great interests - and great egos - are at stake. This makes the conflict extremely dangerous. Potentially explosive. Now, the West will open all floodgates and will increase its involvement to the maximum. Russia keeps warning that they will use nukes if they must - if their red lines get crossed. As always, no one believes them and no one pays attention. Everyone and his associates know better what’s “really” on their minds… and what they’ll do and what they won’t. To quote the great philosopher, it’s deja vu all over again.
