OK, another bad week for the market generally, a worse one for biotech. Though some of the portfolio issues made significant gains for the week, less than a quarter were in the black. And for the losers, SNWV repeats its performance of worst of the week: another 93% loss on top of last weeks 80% drop, for a YTD return of -99.2%.

Not surprisingly, none of the portfolios made a profit for the week … oh heck, I’m tired of the negativity. I’ve decided to add a few extra columns to the report. Instead of focusing on a portfolios absolute loss, YTD, why not compare it to the average portfolio performance? Now our top 10 portfolios show (relative) YTD gains of 3% to 28%! And rather than dwelling on the fact that our #1 portfolio, DIEGOSAN lost another 1.2% for the week, let’s celebrate that he outpaced our average portfolio by 4.1%. And speaking of celebrations, let’s welcome ROCKY9 to the top 10 list for the first time in this year’s contest, managing this feat by turning in the third best performance for the week, outpacing the average portfolio by almost 3%, which sounds better than an absolute weekly loss of only -2.3%.
