The thing about the stock market is that there are always 2 valid but opposite ways to interpret the data, especially at inflection points.

Take the bond crash that you just pointed to. You could say that it is a precursor of worse things to come. Or you could see it as a sign of being close to the bottom.

If there was a way to tell which is the right call in advance, it would not have happened b/c everyone would have jumped on the opportunity ahead of time and the chart would not look like it does now.
