Let’s imagine — into your place of work walks in a fellow holding a live grenade. Are you going to assault him, screaming that what he does is wrong and evil? I doubt that. You’ll talk to him, try to understand him, to see things his way - in hopes of saving your own life, as well as the people around you. This may not be a good analogy… but still, how come no one is trying to understand the Russians? They’ve tried to make their argument for many years, but everyone West of Kiev knew better what their “real” security needs are. We may be on the verge of a nuclear blowout - and what is our DefSec saying? Oh, we have to beat up those ef-ers so bad they could never get up! (Which is what Zbig Brzezinski used to say, decades ago). So, my answer to your questions is this - I don’t like to go blind, with my brain bamboozled by garbage some halfwits decide should be the extent of my knowledge.
