Re: Young Folk Portfolio -- Replacement

I finally sold the remaining shares of SBUX in the Young Folk Portfolio. At one point it was a full position with a triple digit return. I sold 1/2 of the position at the beginning of the year with a 68% gain, it had dropped that much in value. I sold the other 1/2 today with a 34% gain.

With unionization and SBUX now paying for eligible travel expenses for employees seeking abortions or gender-affirming procedures, I just don't see them having the pricing power for a cup of coffee to offset all of the employees expenses they are going to incur.

AMZN would be in a better position as far as pricing power goes, but I don't see it with SBUX.

Several years ago when GILD lost pricing power I got out and GILD it has lagged ever since. I don't want to put up with that again via SBUX.

I replaced it with DPZ. I like pizza. - Ha!
