You should watch it. It's worth briefly turning into a pile of mush.

Most people are not worthy of their dogs.

“It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. Every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of theirs. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog & I will become as generous and loving as they are.” ~Anon

My sweet Deimos probably kept me alive last year - I feel sorry for people who have never experienced the love of a pet. He lost 20 lbs while I was sick - he was so stressed over me being unwell. He’s gaining it back now, and just seems so much happier lately, thus I’m convinced the worst is behind me, lol.

*way more than people (in general of course).

as you get older.. (in general of course) goes away.
I generally always had 2 labs since the early '80s. when Sam passed on 14yrs 4mos 28days.. he outlasted Katy 14yrs 4mos 4days.
I could not have imagined how such utter loneliness would set in.

if my dogs & I were stuck on an ocean lifeboat, along with a few dubious acquaintances of mine, the assholes of my life are going to take a swim.
I stopped playing nice not all that long ago.

I had two Blue Heelers.. same litter.. second was a rescue..

First Tika.. was a horrible bitch.. wanted to tear other dogs apart.. Super high maintenance ..thankfully good with people

Kaylee.. the rescue was the sweetest thing... good all around

these are 80 pound dogs in 40 pound bodies.. Incredibly smart and strong ...

Dogs are like people.. some are crazy ... I had one :)

walking the Rouge (Toronto) at night.. no coyote came near us :)
