Just got my copy of The Red Herring. Michael Dell is on the cover. Feature article is a 3 page interview about the future of Dell, the prospects, challenges, threats(?), etc. The web site is www.herring.com, but the new issue will not be posted for a while yet. Very upbeat, as you might guess. Article went to press when Dell's stock was in the 80's, so there is no mention of the Compaq purchase.
