Thean,

Thanks, but I don't see how to read that 29-30 was the previous resistance point from that graph. I see a red and green "tracking" line (probably MA), but can't figure how you derive this numerical value of 29-30 from that particular graph. While I totally agree with your analysis, I need to see it (ie that particular visual creates comment "X"), and then try it on my own for another stock.

Keep explaining, if you care to.

Yes I did read the briefing report and I understand that's their level. I eventually want to know how to derive that level independent of their analysis, from the same chart Papaya King used.

comments?

It's amazing how this thread and the real day to day world intertwine. I'm driving down the road from Houston to Austin, and rather then thinking about my upcoming sales call, I'm noticing working rigs on either side of the road. I think to myself "Thean would like to see this"...then further down the road a "piece" I see a gleaming new rig being installed with BAYARD in bold letters across it and I think about the effects this might have on some of brethren's investments.

btw Thean...loved the "top 10" but the closest you came was I sometimes serve as their "culinary advice" (italian of course)

Last note: we have a winner in the contest but his dawgedness will be on tonight so I'll leave him the honors

FGII: O.K. I follow the logic concerning this stock as a trading vehicle...short term, but as evidenced by dave it can easily whipsaw you. With the strength of this stock, I would have a tendency to let it run. I'm more comfortable holding here with cash on hand to buy more if it dips to $30, than possibly miss out on its continued run. The end of the trading today, it shot by all those who may have sold out at $33...and closed near the high.

This will be an interesting test case of all this TA talk. A sell off on earnings announcement may happen, but then again who the hell knows. It is just as likely to take out the $37 resistance level as fall back to $30.

I appreciate your commentary on this. Thanks for the discussion thus far. Shall we all make money together.

When are earnings released? Anyone know?

Diamond H

Thean,

I saw NBR - have prewarned my friend about day rate issue last week.
He should have tight stop. only 3% of his capital committed in it.
