You are not looking at the big picture. You are slinging shit at the wall and saying-see? And never looking at the rest of the story with regard to the Republicans there is always an ulterior motive for anything good they ever do, or a rest of the story! The big picture is that until the 1960's the FDR Democrats ruled the roost and kept the Republicans and their mccarthyism shit at bay. Then JFK, MLK and Bobby were assassinated and the Republicans took over and drove our country into the abyss of bad social planning and implementation. Starting around 1970 when Nixon was elected, the Republican party wooed the racists and bigots across the country by appealing to their racist and bigoted cultures via lee Atwater's southern strategy and the rest is history. That is exactly how we got to this situation where our democracy is under serious assault by the plutocrats, racists and bigots and naive folks. The Republican party spawned the present day Republican party in no uncertain terms!! And everyone who participated in that effort for the last 50 years is partly responsible!
