Lyme disease…. These days most of the time it would take a few dollars worth of antibiotics - and it’s gone. Easy to criticize medicine and Pharma - and very often, for good reasons - but the improvements over the past many years have been amazing. Last January my wife had surgery for a pituitary adenoma. A couple of days later she was home - and in another couple of weeks - back to normal. Before the MRI (or at least CT) it would be practically impossible to diagnose it - until after serious damage already occurred… and the surgery used to be very traumatic. There are many, many examples.
