Reg -

That "standards" stuff is nonsense. Notice how nearly every company that fails to focus on propriery technology appears to be forced out of business. All capitalistic entities must differentiate to survive. If one were to adhere to something, one should adhere to market forces and not standards. The market invariably speeds ahead of standards committees, and the result is the destruction of those who do not keep up. Why do you think NSCP implemented javascript in the first place? Sooner or later, I am going to get you to see things in the capitalistic world, which is where we both live.

Right, Reg. You go implement your own TCP/IP protocols, C specification, Win32 API, telephone standards, http standards, gasoline standards, power line freqency standards, and on, and on, and on, and on, ... see how long the world turns.

So you think that it is in the business interests of AMZN use non-standard technology that would mean that it will not work on every browser on the Internet? Do you think that they believe that "standards stuff is nonsense"?
