I understand. I lost a brother who was 3 months short of his 13th birthday, when he got hit by a car crossing a major highway. My parents were devastated. My father died of a heart attack a year later; but it was really a broken, grieving heart. My mother was never the same: she went from being a happy go lucky, easy going woman to a nervous wreck. My first wife died in her 50s. I experienced the death of many friends who served with me in the Israeli army. Here today, gone tomorrow. When one door closes, sometimes another door opens if you rebel against Death and grief. I was bitter and angry for a long time. Not anymore. Life is not fair. But life is a precious gift.
