Locogringo, looking into that story, it seems it was Devin Nunes, head of Truth Social, who claimed that Trump told Musk to buy Twitter. This was on FOX Business: Trump’s Truth Social supports Elon Musk taking on ‘tech tyrants': CEO Devin Nunes The New York Post also reported on what Nunes said, but I can't find the original NYPost article. All I can find are articles reporting on Musk's denial. So in this case, it wasn't the usual left-wing media sources who created this fake news story. Tenchusatsu
