Bill, Did you used to work for Apple?, no I guess you were not part of the fatt cut,<groan>

I have been cutting him some slack, but all I see is inactivity. true Apple is smaller and leaner and still has cash buy I see no attempt to address the need to grow by 50% compounded for the next five years to make meaningful gains on the evil empire. I do not even see a good scenarion just to station keep with the WIntels by growing at 25% a year.
Apple has cash, and they need to broaden the manufactured base with others fabricated stuff, ie clones. There is no other path, no other path. Yet Jobs stubbornly will not see this. The old axiom that the clones took apple boxes was due to a faulty clone scheme. They need a good clone scheme. One that works like the WIntels(which pays MSFT and Intel a nice fee on each box made times millions of boxes), but that Pays Apple a fee on each of the millions of boxes, and Appl makes some of the boxes, like Intel does. But Apple cannot eat the world. It must make a tradeoff of fee income versus box income. By the proper fee structure an Apple box empire like WIntel can be built.
Do not say it cannot, Wintel did it, and they split the money and so can Apple with all the money.
But no more time can be wasted.
