Sly, Why don't U look at the TOTAL U.S. CO2 emissions since the beginning of the industrial revolution Because the goal isn't to revert atmospheric CO2 back to levels before the industrial revolution. The goal instead is to keep the current levels of atmospheric CO2 steady. In that aspect, what matters is what is happening TODAY. And your favorite country, China, is vastly outpacing America in terms of CO2 emissions. Even America's CO2 emissions have remained relatively flat over the past several years compared to China.
