The Fed balance sheet actions often times come the week of monthly op-ex.

I can't tell by this chart if they've done anything yet this month, as it's only updated as of May 4th.

I don't follow the bond markets much but I've been reading things here and there about China and Japan buying less bonds lately. QT is supposed to start next month. Who's going to buy? Europe is filled to the gills already and though we have better rates, their bonds are going above zero for the first time in ages.
The Fed needs to be VERY careful here. The last couple months is the first time I can remember where bonds AND stocks are dropping in unison. Bonds are supposed to be a safe haven during stock declines but they changed the rules and didn't fill anyone in first.
