Maybe it's not a matter of where, but when? In 2008, WTIC topped 7-months after the SPX. 7-months would take us to July 2022, the peak of the summer season for WTIC. I know it's a much different backdrop with the economy imploding in summer/fall 2007 and booming this year. There's also this supply shock I keep hearing about in Russia. The XLE high the week was a 2.618 extension of the move out of the March 2020 lows. It is still missing a wave 4 and 5 out of the March 2020 lows if you're into e-wave.
