Mohan,
Not sure where I got this one from, maybe here, but it is a great link for US listed ADR's:
global-investor.com
I was thinking about Shinawatra Computer & Communications, SHWCY, before tom's recommendation shot the price up from $2 to $3. (I don't think he did it all by himself but it was quite a coincidence.) The high for the year on that one is around $5 so I doubt that I'll chase it now.
Also have some Sime Darby, SIDBY. It is hard to believe that a stock like that, which is down a good 75% has not already incorporated most of the bad news into the stock price, but I only own a little.
I tend to like funds for the management and diversification. Let them do the analysis, they get paid the big bucks. Besides I'm a bit of a sucker for the hype stocks. I've found out though it seems that by the time they get around to promoting the stock the easy money is long gone.
One gentleman here had three Chinese ADR's that he was suggesting last week. IMHO China has good long term potential.
The question at this point now that many of the Asian markets have broken out of their down trends is what's next. They typically will spike up when they break out but what happens after the first pull back. Will they start an up trend like Latin America or just oscillate up and down, more like Pakistan? My tendency is to sell some here and wait and see.
I do believe in TA but the direction of the trend is usually based on economic fundamentals and that depends on what these Asian companies/countries do now to get out of this 'quagmire'.

Best Regards,

Derrick
