A fundamental error in equating nation state concept with... money... at all... The two are very different ideas... based on different principles... that have no rational connections between them... other than... "we have constituted governments"... and "we use money"... And, beyond that... what people will do to get money... has NEVER changed... in all of recorded history. The money power... believes itself ascendant... All I see is a pairing of the two facts, one in "this is what failure looks like"... with the other fact in "those guys did this... on purpose"... ? How "the people" will respond to the intent in deliberate mismanagement... we shall see.
