Bill, I have been doing my own volatility index on the Kahuna
thread and by the lack thereof I think the stage is finally

Early this year, the VIX was in the high teens to mid-20s. It closed Monday at 39.96, declined on Tuesday but rose again Wednesday and Thursday.


Hmmm. My data shows the VIX at 21.36 as of 2/9. Hasn't been over 30 since 1/12.
