Read Replies (1) | Respond to of 37263 I only needed to read for 30 seconds to realize that the author of your linked article doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. The LD 50 test was neither designed nor intended to give information on long-term exposure effects of a chemical. To dismiss the toxicity of a substance to humans simply because it has a high LD 50 (an indicator of acute toxicity within four hours) is utter nonsense. Glyphosate damages the gut bacteria. A disruption in the gut microbiome directly affects the immune system since the gut is one of the most important parts. This slow destruction manifests over several years. To state that glyphosate is less toxic than salt, an essential nutrient, is scientific fraud. Next he makes the assumption that if aluminum causes autism, then glyphosate can't. This is too stupid to even comment on. The human immune system and its reliance on the health of the gut microbiome are just beginning to be understood, and ill-informed authors such as this one like to pretend they have it all figured out. The stomach is now realized to be the "second brain." Unfortunately, health science is too often driven by profits in the opposite direction it ought to be going, while its victims accept it as religion when it is in reality the very opposite. Science welcomes opposing views, but now it's a faith based concern, as exemplified by the oxymoronic "trust the science" mantra. Science is never to be "trusted," but rather continuously questioned and challenged. If every hypothesis put forward were ridiculed before it had been tested, science would cease to exist.
