Abortion is wrong period, what it comes down to is that we are accountable for ourselves whether abortion is legal or not. Making abortion illegal or legal will not solve the problem it comes down to accountability plan an simple. Yes many are just pure lazy they go out and get pregnant in chose a simple fix but that's one's own choice to commit a sin in Gods eye or not, no one is strapping woman down on a table and forcing them to abort a child just like the lord is not strapping us down and forcing only good to come in front of us and chasing Satan away so that we won't be tempted. We are all sinners and no better than anyone else but what is important is to understand that we are sinning and refrain from it, I am a firm believer in stating what I believe in my heart what is right and what is wrong and will express my feeling's in the best way I know how, however if one chooses to do something I feel is wrong I have done my part and if a sin has been committed that is between God and the person doing the act, just like my sins are mine alone and I am accountable for such.

Dear Shalom,
I don't know where your statistics come from but people that are too busy for a child definately need a relationship with the Lord. Calling yourself a Christian is a broad term and is why Alan and I prefer to not be identified with so many who do not appear to know Him.
The real problem I have is that abortion has gotten so much attention when there are bigger and bigger Churchs being built while the number of homeless children is growing and there are so many sins why pick one to yell about. If we spent all our energy on reaching the lost with the Gospel (even the ones that have accepted the Lord and have slid away) we would be better off. If we stop abortion without a change in the heart the babies will end up in trash cans, toilets etc... The problem is still there and again the followers of the Lord are made to look angry, intolerant and judgemental I believe because we are in an arena that is not for us to be in. We can vote for that is our right as American citizens but to put on shows of desperation and violence is a mockery to the power of Christ to me.
The only public display the Lord made was against the believers not the lost and mostly in regards to financial oppression where worship is concerned so again we should look more to the greed and oppression of the Church and judge ourselves with fear and trembling before a Holy God. Last year my Pastor did a very deep study on what does God want us to do? and the conclusion is consistent to give the good news of salvation and relationship with Him, clearly not politics for that is the world system that we are not a part of. At one time I was involved in politics and sought change by force then the verse Not by might nor by power but by My Spirit became real to me. I don't mean to preach here it is just an area I have done alot of study on recently and want to share with all of you.
May the Lord bless you, Nancy
