RE:Anyway..are other posters in different parts of the country satisfied with their
stations??

WLS Chicago is one the best station for listening to the Brink.
Every Sat.& Sun. no interruptions.
However they are testing the water with a local money show that follows MoneyTalk. WLS has already dropped two network shows, Dr.Edell and Bernie Ward.

This local guy is a real card, between his personally reminding listeners of his latest book for sale, he continually bad mouths index funds.

I hope WLS remembers that "MoneyTalk is often imitated NEVER duplicated"
Maybe KGO listeners should right the station and compliment the station managers for putting on a program that stands for the highest integrity second to none. Then ask if would it be possible to present Mr. Brinker opening monologue intact. Regardless of outcome their dedication to the communities welfare by insuring access to honest and accurate information is greatly appreciated.

... could this simply be a case poor "placement" of commercials, e.g., some uninformed engineer programming the commercials to play at predetermined times, regardless of the context of the feed from ABC?

Unlikely. Because, of late, we hear announcements like, "... we now join the program already in progress" (or something to that effect). In fact, this is what I was referring to when I told them in my email that their performance has actually changed for the worse in recent times.

So they are very well aware of what they're doing. Probably they know how to fix it too, but they don't want to. (And they certainly won't fix it if they think that the local listeners are a bunch of scared cats!).
