It's hard to go wrong with conservatively managed gambling co.'s in the LT, I think. It's sorta like cheating, innit. They are playing a rigged game -- literally. Furthermore, they are calculating professionals, the suckers on the other sides are just that, suckers & amateurs who can't possibly win as a group in the LT.

Trailing P/E's around , great margins & quite spectacular ROIC. Buying fantastic companies that are in a fantastic business at fantastic prices seems quite unlikely to go horribly wrong -- again, at least in the LT (stock prices are obviously quite volatile...). I might even say: seems about as close as a can't miss as anything I can imagine. (But then again I am still very much a rookie, and also pretty dumb in very many ways...)

Since BETS and KIND operate in quite different markets, and seem to want to keep it that way, betting on both is quite likely a good bet. And indeed -- judging by how non-badly the somewhat catastrophical Q1 was received by the market, the stock might have bottomed out, or at least started to.
