MKL,
A few weeks ago, you said, "I find it hard to make a case for investing in the dd industry." Context was a report from TrendFocus which suggested that DD units would grow by only 13% in 98. Last time I saw (granted, several months ago), Jim Porter of DiskTrend was estimating more like 18-20%. Perhaps Asian woes have affected his forecast too, don't know. But you seem on top of things of this industry, do you have any sense of whose forecasts tend to be more accurate?

Sorry this is such a late response, was out of town, trying to catch up on past posts when I can.

BTW, in general, in my experience, the best time to buy DD stocks is when it is hard to make a case for investing in them. The stocks sit and sit and sit, then explode (up OR down) just when they've put you to sleep (if you can sleep with them, anyway).

Best wishes,
Sam

P.S. I enjoy your posts a lot. Thanks for sharing.
