Realpoiltic is that small countries are under umbrella protection of bigger countries. If they are not, they become part of bigger countries. Hey, even small countries resist becoming split into smaller countries, Sri Lanka does not like splitting into Tamilland and Sinhaland. Ukraine resists the split although a split will soon be concretized.
