One old navy guy once told me that in the Navy in WW2, seamen were told to pee on their feet before they started their shower to kill off bacteria and ward off fungus.

I have a compost pile which I use for that purpose. I have an aging prostate and it's better for me to stand when I relieve myself, but my aim isn't always so good. The compost pile solves many problems. A helpful possum keeps it free of high protean food scraps and most of the roaches.
