<Surely you're not confusing your collection of html and excel users with real programmers and engineers?> I'll forward your comment to the guys down here onthe street and see what they have to say about. <You should make sure your software works for all the popular browsers, and absolutely for the standard. Otherwise the knowledgeable users at those financial company clients of yours will give you a bad rep at their companies.> This is what I don't understand about your mentality. You make sure your material works for those that will spend money for it. This is not a difficult concept, yet you pretend not to understand it. Standards bodies don't pay you, your market does. This is the very same reason why MSFT is making money, and thier competition (those that focus on technology more than thier constituency) sit back and complain. You identify your target audience and pursue them. They, and only they are the boss. MSFT has mastered this.
