Sandra, everyone looks at a stock differently. I try to get the following info when I look at a stock: Company strategy. Is it viable and are they demonstrating success or potential success. insider/institutional buying and selling. Analyst coverage and analyst price targets. Rate the company in respect to its peer group and then the peer group as opposed to other sectors. Fair price for the stock based on earnings growth. Keep in mind that the above information is almost moot in making a day trade or a quick trade. This information is vital in making a decision to buy and hold a stock. How's this for lesson one? The site that I posted the link to has all of the above information available to make it easy to do a quick dd on a stock. Sergio
