IMO the rate hike is a clear indication they are cornered and desperate (just like the shorts and soon the longs) and that advertising revenues are not coming through. ISP is a commodity market and AOL does not even provide a competitive service. Some value added but in terms of connection I think they still have problems (someone that uses AOL please confirm). What I do not understand is that I could see the writing in the wall with just one read of the last 10Q financial statements. It is shocking to see supposedly bright people with Finance MBA's from the most prestigious schools in the nation saying that this crap is worth $150. No business, marketing or finance common sense whatsoever. pancho
