Great example. I've used it before. Here's the 2001-2003 chart that covers period from the first currency crisis that came to a head on Nov 30,2001 its crippling inflation and the high interest rate increases to try to contain it, bank runs, peso devaluation, social unrest and the immediate aftermath of money rushing into equities to preserve value.

Turkey is heading in the very same direction..

It's currency is devaluing at a much faster rate now..

And I think that's going to have some major negative implications on the European, if not Global, financial system.
