Anybody who believes that CPQ is going to take a year to integrate the company, hasn't paid much attention to the CPQ-TDM merger. Effectively, the companies will be integrated by October. While the company will still be eliminating some duplication after then, the major period of change will have passed.

CPQ has been salivating to grab DEC for over a year! If you think they hadn't already drawn up consolidation and integration plans, you know very litttle about how modern mergers work. Several teams of bankers will have already pointed out the key areas integration will immediately affect the bottom line. In fact, the major points of contention were probably ironned out prior to the companies signing the deal.
