Little to no cost?

Paul,

Thanks for the reply.

BAAT has made it clear that it is impractical and expensive to modify already existing engines. What they did state is that it has little to no extra cost during the initial building or rebuilding of the block. This makes BAAT's technology fundamentally different from what currently exists. Major retooling of assembly lines is not needed.

Opel, Audi, and Chrysler unveiled their finest attempt at stingy diesels thus far at the Frankfurt auto show (See Popular Science Feb 98 page 25). these fuel rail direct injection diesels only get a 20% increase in fuel economy over the already thrifty European diesels. BAAT's technology is close to 40%and does not require assembly line retooling. It is better technology and can be more readily deployed. Romance? I'm thinking of an "r" word, but it is more like revolution.

Money on BAAT
