There are reasons for Clinton not mentioning y2k in his State of the Union
Address and Rukeyser cutting off Yardini when he attempted to bring up y2k. If
the problem was easily manageable discussion would not be avoided in these
spheres. Logical explanations are sensitive financial markets & a grand effort to
create a crisis in order to delay the next presidential election, suspend the
constitution, and have Clinton go down as evolving a world order through a
global plan to fix the problem.

I'm surprised that nobody on this thread suggested this theory earlier <ggg>
