Oil was in massive structural deficit both from a storage and production standpoint prior to the war. Like many he's mistaken that if the war ended oil would some how go back to sub $80. Looks like it's going to take more demand destruction to balance things which probably means a price over $140ish this year. But again not so much about the price of oil vs the what's happening w/the stocks. Slow and steady or better yet a range bound crude price would suit me fine.

So his comment is idiocy on several levels.

Oil - There are other voices that I like and listen to but this is a great starting point for anybody that is still skeptical of this energy market

youtube.com

Most of the people that comment on energy especially on TV are doing you a disservice. They look at the past 20 years and they give you a narrative with little data behind it. The data is not presented in this video but I’ve seen other videos and he certainly has the data to support his claims he’s not pulling something out of his ass like 95% of the investors out there.

Oil is down to 112 in the after hours which again i’m quite happy with a new range from say 110 to 120 for several months hopefully

So we got a hot jobs report which supports the Fed hiking and MSFT warns but they are trying to hold it up and put lipstick on this pig. AI was down 18% and even it's bouncing.
